Community Partner: Birthmarks Maternity

Welcome, new community partner, Birthmarks Maternity, where their mission is to honor the natural process of pregnancy and birth by serving women and families with a central source of holistic pregnancy, birth, and early parenting resources in a community of caring experts.

Birthmarks began as a tiny little seedling of an idea for the owner, Sarah Rocrou, several years ago.  Sarah has been involved in the birth community for almost a decade working as a registered nurse and then as a women's health nurse practitioner providing prenatal care in the medical community.  She always had a passion for natural birth and holistic care and she chose this type of care for her own pregnancy and birth.  After having to run all over town to visit her chiropractor, her acupuncturist and her massage therapist at different locations, she dreamed of creating a space where women and families could come to receive all of these services and more in one community center surrounded by other people who believed and supported the same ideas.

Birthmarks provides a variety of services including:  prenatal and postpartum fitness classes, chiropractic, acupuncture, massage, and educational classes, as well as an array of products to support a natural lifestyle.  They even plan to have a group just for dads to connect with other dads.  The service providers will focus on caring for patients who are seeking pregnancy, who are currently pregnant and who are postpartum, but they will also be able to care for little ones!  Chiropractor Rachel Settles, loves taking care of babies and kids.  After a visit or two, clients will feel right at home with the staff as well as the other mommies and families.

We want to help you find and create your tribe, and we want you to be a part of ours!

Birthmarks' grand opening is planned for early December, but in the meantime, please spread the word that they need some more tribe members to join their awesome team!  If you know someone who would be perfect for them, we are still seeking the following:

-Massage Therapist (must be qualified to treat pregnant women)

-Yoga Instructor

-Childbirth Educator (including Hypno and Bradley)

-Lactation Consultant/Counselor
